Shaving Horse (Hoanzlgoas)

Because I want to try to work with drawknifes I had the idea to build a Shaving horse.
I don't have much space, so I decided to integrate the front part of the shaving horse into an existing saw-bench.

So I made some plans and the following one survived:

3d-plan
 The first step
begin with 2 pieces of wood, nailed together

... drilled together ...

cut together - then making a sandwich

gluing
drilling the screw-holes ... not easy to hold the direction
ooops ... thats not OK ... 2 pieces of scrap-wood :-(
... now it's OK :-)
aaah ... using my bench rabbet plane (Stanley #10 "Carriage maker's rabbet plane") the first time
the top bridge of the hold-down

chiseling out

tuning with the rabbet plane

... and the pairing chisel

finished the male

making the female

sawing for the wedges ... along the grain

Because I think it's easier to mark and make the male out of the female the other side will be this way ...

fertig ... funktioniert :-)

und alles zerlegbar!

Knife Tray

Google Sketchup - Vorlage

Kopfteile zusammennageln ... dann werden's auch gleich

Impressionen ...

z'ammleimen

Bretter für den Boden

rechtwinkelig mit der Stoßlade

aufleimen des Bodens ... gut, dass meine Hobelbank Löcher hat :-)

fertig ... noch ohne Oberflächenbehandlung

ge-Sanding-Sealed
